ServiceMaster Clean Marketing Toolkit
Developed using PHP Fusebox techniques, the SMC marketing toolkit is a modular program that allows for easy and rapid additions to the toolkit. Additionally, since only employees of the organization are able to access the materials, a sophisticated login system was developed to interface with the company's intranet.
World Wide Short Film Festival — Online Schedule
The previous web developer for WWSFF had programmed the festival's online schedule system using a Microsoft Access database that severely limited its usefulness, especially during the festival's event week. The new system, built upon a PHP/MySQL platform has drastically improved usability for visitors.
Camp Read Well
Camp Read Well is a reading program run by Montana's Cookhouse restaurants for children in grades K-6. The program, run in classrooms across Canada, encourages students to read through incentives. The administration of the program requires online registration by participating schools, for which an online application was developed.
Fogolars Federation of Canada
The Fogolars Federation of Canada is the administrative organization of Italian community clubs found across Canada. In an effort to streamline communications with the public and with member clubs, a new content-managed website was developed. The website is built upon a custom-designed CMS platform, programmed in PHP/MySQL.
Yorkville Foot Clinic
As one of Toronto's most respected podiatrists, David Shaw promotes his clinic as both a place of healing for all foot-related problems and a resource for better understanding foot health care. The website provides visitors with a complete overview of Mr. Shaw's practice, news about the clinic and podiatry, as well as a guide to common foot ailments. A simple content management system allows the client to update home page content.
Liberty Billing and Consulting
Liberty Billing and Consulting, an organization that manages receivables for U.S. hospitals, required a secure extranet through which its clients could access reports and financial data. The extranet has three main areas — a bulletin board, finance submission tools and website administration. Built-in security includes the use of SSL, database encryption and user levels that limit access to the extranet features.
PFE - Content Management System
The client, Portland Family Entertainment, manages two professional sports teams and the stadium in which they play. PFE required web applications that would allow them to update their websites as often as several times per day. Using PHP/MySQL, I developed a database-driven content management system through which they could generate pages for Press Releases, Features, Pre-Game Notes and Post-Game Notes. Secondary systems handle image uploads and the compilation and presentation of team statistics.
Pizza Hut "Book It!" Program - E-mail Client
The purpose of this system was to provide a simple and fun e-mail client that would help teach children how to properly format a letter. The user selects a "pen" colour and a "stationary" (purposely done in obnoxious colours). They then complete a form, supplying the name and address of the recipient, the text of the message and their own name and address. The system inserts the information provided into the proper places. The system was developed in PHP and MySQL.
